Learning Objectives :

8.1. Understand and use the concept of bearing

Learning Outcomes :

At the end of the lesson, students will be able to

(i) Draw and label the eight main compass directions:

a) north, south, east, west

b) north – east, north – west, south – east, south – west

ii) State the compass angle of any compass direction.

Learning activities :

  1. Discuss and do correction for the previous exercise.
  2. Teacher introduces the new chapter by asking students to determine the eight main compass directions and state their angles.
  3. Teacher explains the meaning of bearing.
  4. Discuss a few examples.
  5. Students are required to do the exercise from workbook.
